The Family Man portrays the story of a middle-aged man Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) who works as a world class spy in National Investigation Agency (NIA) of India along with his colleague and best friend JK Talpade (Sharib Hashmi). The first season of this show depicts the unsettling personal life of Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) while simultaneously following an investigation of an imminent terrorist attack along with his subordinates. The plot of second season focuses on a Sri Lankan military group akin to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and their ambitions for a freedom struggle. The series is inspired by articles from real newspapers.
